Dear Customer,
I am pleased to address you today as the CEO of GE Intelligent Platforms. I am able to do this because our agreement to dissolve the GE and FANUC joint venture has been finalized. We signed the agreement in Chicago last Friday, and we are now operating independently under our new name GE Intelligent Platforms.
For you, as a customer of GE Intelligent Platforms, this change is good news because it allows us to better support your present and future needs. We’ve made huge strides in software and services, embedded systems and control solutions over the last few years, and our focus is only going to increase moving forward.
Strategic internal investment has delivered significant new products that are already enabling new applications, improving productivity and saving customers money. We’ve also made highly targeted external investments throughout our portfolio to bring new technologies into the company. And, I intend to continue this keen focus on products, services and solutions that give you a sustainable competitive advantage.
This is an opportune moment to double down on our commitments to you. It is my belief that GE Intelligent Platforms today is better positioned than ever to help you take advantage of the inevitable economic upturn. We can offer you market leading capabilities in a number of key areas, and we are ready to deliver those products when you need them to pursue new opportunities.
I want to thank you for your business today, and assure you that our single focus and intention is to continue to help you to succeed in the future. After all, our success is entirely dependent on your ability to achieve and sustain a competitive advantage.
