Enabling Reliable Video over LTE in Industrial Remote Monitoring Systems

For the transportation, oil, and gas industries, cellular technologies have become the driving force behind remote monitoring systems to manage and monitor devices in real time. Increasingly for large-scale applications on buses and road intersections, multiple IP cameras are deployed in one location to provide live video streams to control centers. However, with a 1-to-1 IP camera to cellular gateway ratio, implementing 3G technology in remote monitoring systems for such applications can result in added cost of investment and increased space requirement.
